Tier 1 General (Highly Skilled Migrants) Criteria
Important! From April 1st 2009 the minimum qualification requirement is a recognised Masters degree.
Essentially, in order to make a successful application, individuals are required to score a minimum of 75 points from the categories shown below:
- Qualifications;
- Previous earnings;
- UK experience
- Age
AND score 10 points in each of the following:
- English language ability
- Maintenance
Please note that the Border Agency are very strict on the type and nature of documents submitted. Non compliance with the requirements will mean a high chance of refusal.
