Dependents
The spouse, unmarried partner and children (under 18) of a work permit holder may be admitted to the UK as the dependents. The spouse / unmarried partner will be given conditions of stay which do not place any restrictions, other than those that would apply to a resident partner, on their taking of employment or engaging in business i.e. they are allowed to work in the UK without a permit.
It is essential that the non-EEA dependent obtains the necessary visa from a British Diplomatic mission (normally in their home country) before entering the UK.
